Change repository access

Add or remove repos from the GitHub App without reinstalling.

Updated: Feb 1, 2026

Adjust access in GitHub

Go to GitHub Settings, open Installed GitHub Apps, and edit ReleaseMind.

Switch between All repositories and Only select repositories.

Save changes so GitHub updates the installation immediately.

  • Add newly created repos as soon as they appear
  • Remove repos you no longer ship releases from
  • Re-run SSO approval if prompted

Confirm in ReleaseMind

Return to Repos and click Resync to refresh the list.

The repo should appear in Release Studio after the sync finishes.

If the list is unchanged, sign out and back in to refresh permissions.

Audit release scope

Keep access aligned with your release boundaries to reduce noise.

If a repo stops shipping, remove it to avoid stale drafts.

Review and introspect

Access changes are the fastest way to keep data clean.

  • Is the current repo scope aligned with what you ship?
  • Are any repos missing tags or PR history that you should fix?
  • Do you need a periodic access review cadence?
