Marketplace vs Stripe billing

Keep a single billing source active per customer.

Updated: Feb 1, 2026

Why it matters

Billing conflict means competing paid providers, not a free Marketplace install plus Stripe.

ReleaseMind keeps free Marketplace access separate from paid entitlement state.

How ReleaseMind decides

A Marketplace free plan keeps account access active but does not unlock paid-only workflows.

Stripe paid status can remain primary even when Marketplace free is installed.

If Marketplace is active but the plan ID is unknown, ReleaseMind marks access detected and keeps paid entitlement disabled until plan mapping is configured.

What to do if both exist

If both providers are paid, cancel one source to clear the conflict.

If Marketplace shows pending plan changes, wait until the effective date before expecting entitlement changes.

Contact support if plan mapping looks incorrect for your Marketplace plan ID and include the Plan correlation ID.

Review and introspect

One billing source keeps access predictable.

  • Do you know which billing source is currently active?
  • Have you canceled the redundant subscription?
  • Do you need support to reconcile overlapping invoices?
